Grandfather bought Toto from a tonga-driver for five rupees because he felt sorry for the monkey.

Toto had bright eyes, white teeth, quick fingers, and a long tail. He looked smart and attractive.

Grandfather took Toto because he was very naughty and could not be left at home. He carried Toto in a black canvas bag.
