Fire and Ice MCQS with Summary
In this poem the poet refers to two predictions of how the world will end. Some say it will end in fire and some say it will end in ice. According to the poet 'fire' stands for Desire, greed. One becomes selfish and cruel . On the other hand 'Ice' stands for hatred. One becomes insensitive. The poet thinks that he has tasted the fire of 'desire' . It will surely end the world. But the poet says if the world will end twice. Then it will end due ice. Or it will end due to hatred. The poet feels that hatred is spreading much among the people of the world. It is a very sad thing. This shall end the world one day.
