Q1. In what way is Iswaran an asset to Mahendra?

ईश्वरन किस तरह महेंद्र के लिए एक संपत्ति है?

Answer:
Iswaran was useful and loyal. He cooked food, cleaned the house, and entertained Mahendra with stories.

Q2. How does Iswaran describe the uprooted tree on the highway? What effect does he want to create in his listeners?

ईश्वरन हाईवे पर उखड़े हुए पेड़ का वर्णन किस प्रकार करता है? वह अपने श्रोताओं पर क्या प्रभाव डालना चाहता है?

Answer: 

He described the incident related to the uprooted tree on the highway in a dramatic way. He was alone and the road was deserted. He saw something that looked like an enormous beast lying across the road. But as soon as he came closer, he found there nothing but a fallen tree. 

His main purpose was to create suspense and surprise.  

Q3. How does he narrate the story of the tusker? Does it appear to be plausible?

वह हाथी की कहानी किस तरह सुनाता है? क्या यह कहानी विश्वसनीय लगती है?

Answer 

Iswaran said that he was studying in a junior school at that time. A mad elephant entered school campus ground. It created chaos there.Iswaran grabbed a cane from a teacher and moved towards the elephant.He hit the elephant's third toe nail and it fell down.

No, The story does not appear to be plausible.


Q4. Why does the author say that Iswaran made up for the absence of a TV?

लेखक ऐसा क्यों कहते हैं कि ईश्वरन ने टीवी की कमी को पूरा कर दिया?

Answer:
Iswaran told very interesting stories with actions and expressions. His stories entertained Mahendra a lot.

Q5. What happens to Mahendra on a full-moon night?

पूर्णिमा की रात महेंद्र के साथ क्या होता है?

Answer:
Mahendra hears strange sounds and sees a ghostly woman outside the window. He becomes frightened.

Q6. Can you think of another ending for the story?

क्या आप कहानी के लिए कोई और अंत सोच सकते हैं?

Answer:
The present story ends with Mahendra’s resolve to leave the haunted place. But it is not the appropriate ending. Mahendra should not have decided to leave the haunted place without knowing the reality. The story could end like this: Courageously Mahendra approached the woman and tried to know the reality. As soon as Mahendra caught the woman, it became the revelation of the mystery. It was none but Iswaran in the guise of a ghost of woman.
