*Introduction:- Modern age is the age of science. We are living in the age of science and technology. Science plays an important part in our daily life. It has made our life easier and more comfortable. Science has made great progress in all fields. It has given many wonderful things to mankind.

*Means of Transport and Communication:- Buses, cars, trains, ships and aeroplanes are the greatest invention of science. Men can reach any part of the world within seconds. In older days messages took months to reach distant places. But now we have the radio, the telephone, wireless television and mobile phone is also the great invention of science. Now messages reach all areas of the world within seconds.

*Electricity:- Science has given as electricity. It lights our houses, keeps them warm and cold. Factories, industries and mills run with electricity. Fans, airconditioner, coolers and heaters save us from hot and cold. Machinery work is possible by electricity. Today life seems impossible without electricity.

*Medical Science:- Science has helped us to fight against many fatal diseases like T.B, cancer, AIDS, smallpox and malaria, etc. There is the great invention of science in the medical field.

*Agriculture:- Science has given us many gifts in the field of agriculture. With the help of fertilizers, medicines and better irrigation, we can take the bumper crop. Green revolution and white revolution are also gifts of science.

*Computer:- Computer are also a great invention of science. They have brought a revolution in all field. In education, travelling, reservations, entertainment and discoveries computers are using.

*Disadvantage of Science:- Everything has two sides. Science too has a dark side. The invention and production of the Atom Bomb and other dangerous weapons can destroy the world within a second. Big factories, mills and other weapons have polluted the atmosphere.

*Conclusion:- Science is a great helper to modern man. Its properly use, it can make the life of man healthier and happier.
